As part of the England Athletics indoor programme we have agreed with the British Milers' Club to hold some Grand Prix Races, within Championship events, as an early opportunity for athletes in the run in to the winter Championships.

The final Road Traffic Management course to be held in the Midlands this year will take place on 20th November. There are still a few places left on this subsidised course.

08.Nov.11 Bring back memories of a wonderful event
This time last month, children around the world were partaking in a "simultaneous Marathon" where they ran a continuous relay trying to beat the current world record marathon times. Save The Children have now produced a short video of over 1000 children in 40 teams across the world taking part.

07.Nov.11 10 races, 10 clubs celebrate at English XC
The Saucony ECCA National Cross Country relays took place on Saturday 5th November at Mansfield. 10 different races (5 age groups) resulted in 10 different winning clubs.

06.Nov.11 Gooderham finishes season with PB in South Africa
Emma Gooderham (Malvern Joggers) - with the support of England Athletics - finished her season on the road with a personal best time in the Soweto marathon in South Africa.

04.Nov.11 Endurance Coaches work towards smooth transition into senior success
A workshop discussing the transition of 18-23 year olds into senior training was facilitated by Area Coach Mentor, Stan Taylor and local CCSO, John Stacey. The group were given an insight into what needed to be taken into account during this stage of development in an athlete’s career.
