England Athletics is delighted to announce the latest development in its work to promote Women’s Coaching. We can announce that Alison Potts has been appointed as Project Leader for the Women’s Coaching Project. She will be responsible for creating a comprehensive schedule of activities and opportunities to promote female coaches and female coaching throughout England. This interim position will see her working alongside experienced pole vault coach Beth Harris who has the role of interim volunteer project lead.

Winter training sessions will be held at Lee Valley Athletics Centre
for all one-lap (300m and 400m) hurdles under the guidance of Lloyd Cowan and
Brian Hopkins, and various guest coaches. -
03.Sep.09 Newham on a roll
Newham and Essex Beagles are to be congratulated on their latest success this season; the British League Men's Team retained their British Athletics League Premiership crown. They won the National Cross Country championships earlier this year, sent 8 athletes to the World Championships in Berlin, founded the Newham McCain Athletic Network and achieved Clubmark status.
