A free informal workshop on how to design a throwing frame for seated throwers will be held at Lee Valley and will provide an understanding of the IPC Athletics rules around frame design and will give athletes and coaches the opportunity to discuss the functional requirements for individual frame design.

Winter training sessions for pole vaulters, one-lap hurdlers, and aspiring young multi-eventers will be taking place at Lee Valley Athletics Centre over the next few months, as part of the programme of activities from the Lea Valley Athletics Network.

28.Sep.12 Young Southampton Athletes raise £3k during the Games
A total of 56 volunteers took part in in a mammoth fundraising session during the two weeks of the Olympic Games. The money was raised by encouraging customers of West Quay shopping centre to ride an exercise bike for one minute and for every person achieving this the club received 60p.

There weren’t that many people at London’s Olympic Park at 1am on Sunday 9th September – apart from a team of runners from Winchester and District Athletic Club (WADAC). WADAC had organised a Track2Track relay to celebrate the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.

Kent Athletics Network (KAN) member Maidstone Harriers have had a busy summer preparing to take their road running to the next level. First challenge was a training day at Camber Sands, which was attended by 6 Leaders in Running Fitness (LiRFs) and 12 athletes.
