Andover AC and Windsor Slough, Eton and Hounslow AC have been named as lucky recipients of sports funding grants from the Cash 4 Clubs scheme, having been selected by a panel whose distinguished judges included Olympic Gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes, and the Sports Commentator Barry Davies, MBE.

One of Britain's greatest athletes and the world's first four-minute miler, Sir Roger Bannister CBE, officially opened a new, eight-lane floodlit athletics track at Sutton Valence School, near Maidstone on Tuesday 22nd September, launching a unique new training facility for local athletes.

Thanet Road Runners AC is a club with a strong tradition in road and cross country running. Last year saw the opening of their new track facility at Marlowe Academy in Ramsgate and great strides are now being made in developing their Track and Field section.
