  • 30.Nov.10 POSTPONED - Road Running Seminar for Clubs & Race Organisers

    The Road Running Seminar due to be held on Wednesday 1 December from 6.30pm – 9pm at Durham County Cricket Ground, Chester-le-Street, has been cancelled due to weather conditions.We will reschedule it and annoucne a new date in due course.

  • 22.Nov.10 Endurance Coaches Enjoy LCDP Regional Day

    Saturday 20th November saw over 25 coaches attend a biomechanics and conditioning workshop put on through England Athletics Local Coach Development Program. The coaches were put through their paces by Julie Twaddle and Duncan French, both expert coaches in the field of Physical Preparation and Strength and Conditioning.

  • 02.Nov.10 Club Focus – Sedgefield Harriers

    In September 2005, a small village in County Durham became part of the wider athletics community, through the founding of Sedgefield Harriers.  From their humble beginnings as a small group of recreational road runners, their growth and development of a club has been nothing short of astonishing.

  • 13.Oct.10 First North East winter workshop proves popular

    The First North East winter workshop was held in Durham recently.  About 70 athletes, coaches and parents attended the morning training session.  These included 13 coaches and a party of 13 from Glasgow.

  • 13.Sep.10 North East endurance workshops

    Three workshops covering the broad themes of ‘Planning’, ‘Running form and biomechanics’ and ‘Transitioning training from winter to summer’ will be delivered through the winter nationwide.  These three workshops will be taking place in the North East.
