20.Dec.12 Talent Introduction day a great success
On 28th October the North Talent ID day began with small dusting of snow, cold air and an early start. The day was planned to help coaches and athletes understand the different ways to train and encourage them to push the boundaries of their own abilities.

Sunday 14th October saw Gateshead College Academy for Sport (GCAS) play host to two local coach development programme workshops and the inaugral North East coaching forum.

A series of Learn to Run workshops will be taking place across England over the next few months. There will be practical and theory workshops for both coaches and leg amputees.

15.Oct.12 NOTAN celebrates at Regional Awards ceremony
The North of Tyne Athletics Network (NOTAN), won a host of prizes at the annual North East Regional Athletics Awards ceremony, hosted by England Athletics on Monday 1st October 2012, at Gateshead International Stadium.

As part of the North East Local Coach Development Programme (LCDP) and Athletics Network Programme, two workshops will be taking place this weekend at Gateshead College Academy for Sport.

08.Oct.12 North East recognise their Volunteers
The North East Regional Awards - sponsored by Northern Powergrid - were held on 1st October 2012 at the Gateshead International Stadium. It was the opportunity to celebrate all that is good in our sport, and a chance to say thank you to all the volunteers who make athletics what it is.
