20.Dec.12 Talent Introduction day a great success
On 28th October the North Talent ID day began with small dusting of snow, cold air and an early start. The day was planned to help coaches and athletes understand the different ways to train and encourage them to push the boundaries of their own abilities.

28.Nov.12 Under 11s raise the standard with Gateshead Network
On 24th November, teams from Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland took part in the Tyne & Wear U11 Sportshall Athletics County Championships - a Fun in Athletics programme organised by the Gateshead Athletics Network.

19.Nov.12 Free Endurance Coaching workshops in partnership with local university
In an exciting continuation of the partnership between England Athletics and Northumbria University, the first in a 4 workshop series for endurance coaches will be held on 21st November, looking at functional assessment and fundamental movements, and the implications they have for all endurance athletes.

08.Nov.12 Next LCDP workshop: integrating Athletics 365
Following on from the September workshop, the latest instalment of the winter LCDP workshop programme will take place at Gateshead, this workshop will discuss how to integrate Athletics 365 into a youth development training plan for coaches working in the junior section of their club.

The North East Championships will be held at Summerhill, Hartlepool and hosted by Hartlepool Burn Road Harriers. Please note the deadline for entry is 10th November.
