Gateshead Stadium will be the locaton for a Sprints & Horizontal Jumps workshop being held on Saturday 26th November as part of the North East Local Coach Development Programme (LCDP).
09.Nov.11 North of Tyne Network host a volunteer recruitment event

This month NOTAN are holding a volunteers' recruitment evening at Northumbria University and the network hopes to recruit volunteers from all different backgrounds and experience. The event will explain and offer all the ways people can volunteer within the network.

Last week the 4 NOTAN clubs; Claremont Road Runners, Heaton Harriers, North Shields Poly A.C. and Wallsend Harriers came together to attend a clubmark workshop.
07.Nov.11 Veteran Syd Robson picks up top honour

Syd Robson justifiably stole the show at the Gateshead Council Volunteers Awards Night. Nominated by his club Gateshead Harriers for the Sports Achiever category, he not only won this in a public vote, but was deemed the overall winner of the Outstanding Achievement Category.
04.Nov.11 Endurance Coaches work towards smooth transition into senior success

A workshop discussing the transition of 18-23 year olds into senior training was facilitated by Area Coach Mentor, Stan Taylor and local CCSO, John Stacey. The group were given an insight into what needed to be taken into account during this stage of development in an athlete’s career.
