09.Dec.10 East Regional Awards evening

Volunteers and guests braved the cold on Tuesday night to attend the event at the Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn Garden City. Chris Jones, Head of Strategy and Marketing, and Bob Thompson, Chair of the East Regional Council made the presentations.
07.Dec.10 Lee Valley to host indoor minithon

Lee Valley are hosting an Indoor Minithon for Boys and Girls in School Years 3 to 7. Athletes can choose any three events applicable to their age group.
23.Nov.10 Coach and Athlete Talent Introduction Day

The end of the track season has seen the first of three Coach and Athlete Talent Introduction Days take place in the South.
18.Nov.10 Mini Marathon selections for the East region

Each London Borough, Region and Home Country has a Team Manager who is responsible for selecting a team to take part in the Virgin Mini London Marathon. The East Region Team Manager for 2011 is Chris Harbord.
22.Sep.10 two athletes in the East area (Sam Watts and Samantha Milner) have received SportsAid grants.

Samantha Milner and Sam Watts have received Regional SportsAid awards this year.
19.Sep.10 300m and 400m Hurdles Training Days

Winter training sessions will be held at Lee Valley Athletics Centre for all one-lap hurdlers under the guidance of Lloyd Cowan, Brian Hopkins and various guest coaches. Athletes of all standards and from any region are welcome to attend.
