For almost a decade, Wolverhampton and Bilston AC (WABAC) were the UK’s Number One Men’s Track and Field team. Official recognition came recently when the club received the England Athletics West Midlands Regional Award as the Development Club of the Year for 2010.

England Athletics Volunteer Awards recognise the work of clubs, volunteers, officials and coaches, as well as the areas of partnership and disability athletics. We are pleased that we are now able to announce the names of all the Regional Awards winners for the West Midlands Region.

England Athletics held its first joint NCDP and LCDP High Jump coach development session at the Solihull High Jump groups training camp, which was led by National Coach Mentors for the high jump, Graham Ravenscroft and Denis Doyle.

Considerable progress has already been made in the three months since the England Athletics funding for the University of Warwick Endurance Academy / Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire (CSW) Athletics Network began on 1st July.
