22.Oct.10 South West Region Volunteer Awards announced

England Athletics Volunteer Awards recognise the work of clubs, volunteers, officials and coaches, as well as the areas of partnership and disability athletics. We are pleased that we are now able to announce the names of all the Regional Awards winners for the South West Region.
19.Oct.10 Flying Coach success in rural South West

A number of highly successful Flying Coach visits have been delivered in the SW by one of the region's coach education tutors.
19.Oct.10 SW's Local Coach Development Programme now up and running

The South West's Local Coach Development Programme is now up and running. A number of workshops spread thoughout the Avon and Somerset areas mean that coaches and other interested parties can now attend evening workshops and learn from top coaches Tim Snowdon, Ken Holmes and Chris Millard.

Two part time staff have been appointed to assist the development of the Team Dorset Athletics Network; Lindsay Hole (Volunteer Coordinator) and Trudi Carter (Coaching Coordinator).

Leading British Event Coach Carolyn Franks will be leading a day all about the Javelin event for Coaches of all levels.

The Duchy McCain Athletics Network are pleased to announce that Rob Cockings will be starting in post as club and coach co-ordinator later this month.
