It was Plaid time for St Andrew's school pupils who marked the milestone with a Glasgow 2014 Tartan, aptly on St Andrew's Day (30th November). The day denoted 600 days until the Opening Ceremony of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The Glasgow 2014 Organising Committee have unveiled a new Glasgow star - the official Mascot for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Clyde, the patriotic and adventurous thistle who will be the friendly face of the Games, was unveiled to the world in Glasgow by the banks on the world-famous river that inspired his name.

12.Jul.12 Bruce Longden 1939-2012
England Athletics was greatly saddened by the death of Bruce Longden at the age of 72. Bruce was coach to Sally Gunnell and Daley Thompson, among many others, and his outstanding contribution to our sport was recognised when he was inducted into our Hall of Fame last year.
