    27.Mar.12 British Deaf Athletics World Championships Trials

    The closing date for entries to the GB Trials is soon.  The trials will determine entries for the Great Britain team for the 2nd World Deaf Athletics Championships which will be held in Toronto, Canada 14-21 July 2012. 
    Athletes performing well at these championships in Toronto are automatically guaranteed places at the 2013 Deaflympic Games.

    Six disabled athletes have been selected to take part in the School Games 2012 which will be held in the same London venues as this year's Olympic Games.

  • 27.Mar.12 Hurdles Flying Coach Visit in Sheffield

    Three coaches from South Yorkshire attended a series of flying coach visits at Sheffield EIS, which were delivered by Ted Grey and aimed at coaches who have basic knowledge of hurdles and are coaching young athletes at a beginner level. 

  • 27.Mar.12 Herne Hill Harriers make national road relay championships

    Ben Paviour - Chichester 10KHerne Hill Harriers finished 10th at the South of England 12-stage relay race in Milton Keynes on 26 March to comfortably qualify for the national championships next month. The 12-man team clawed their way back from 16th place shortly after the half-way mark despite facing competition from local club rivals, Serpentine RC and Blackheath and Bromley Harriers.

    27.Mar.12 Endurance talk attracts good support

    Possibly the biggest gathering of Essex endurance coaches for many years took place at Brentwood on Friday as 25 coaches from Essex clubs attended a coach education workshop on “Progression for Teenage Endurance Athletes”.

  • 26.Mar.12 Vault London closes the 2012 indoor season with a bang!

    Sutton arena hosted what has been called a ‘celebration of pole vaulting’ on what appears to be the last indoor fixture of the 2012 calendar. With the pole vault only competition running from 10am to 7pm, vaulters of all ages and abilities did not leave empty handed. The statics were quite impressive with 108 Competitors taking part, 45 Athletes Produced 61 Lifetime Best
