    Herne Hill Harriers Club LogoHerne Hill Harriers are holding a community athletics event on Monday May 2nd. The programme includes a 1948 Olympic Torch Relay at Noon from the Herne Hill Cycle Velodrome (the 1948 Olympic Cycling venue and a former home of HHH) to Tooting Bec Athletics Stadium.

The England Athletics Volunteer Awards give you the chance to gain recognition for those people who make your involvement in the sport more exciting, more enjoyable and more successful - or even make it possible for you to be involved at all.

    London Inter Club ChallengeThe meeting in the series is on the 11th June at Barnet Copthall. As Parliament Hill basked in warm temperatures the London Inter Club Challenge kicked off its 2011 series in style. With record entries; the meeting saw many good early season performances.

  • 27.Apr.11 Cornwall AC Ladies claim marathon top spot

    After a nail biting couple of days, Cornwall Athletic Club’s Ladies team have been confirmed as the National Marathon Champions in the Virgin London Marathon.   Naomi Tier, Emma Stallard and Suzy Bosustow all ran superbly in the recent London race, recording personal best times on a very warm day in the capital, claiming top spot on the podium.

    27.Apr.11 Who do you say the stars are?

    One of them was an English sprinter who won as many international championship medals as Linford Christie. Another was Olympic bronze medallist at 5K and world record holder at the mile. One held every British record from 5M to two hours. Then there is the one who took almost 5min off the marathon world record. Another was mocked for what he claimed he would lower the world record to... but guess who had the last laugh? One is the only British thrower to win Olympic gold. And one recorded the first world record by a British thrower. Who are they?

    26.Apr.11 SYAN Running Sub Group Launch

    On Wednesday 20th of April 2011, The South Yorkshire McCain’s Athletics Network successfully launched their running sub group.  The aim of the sub group is to extend the SYANs involvement to the remaining South Yorkshire clubs who do not take part in Track & Field or young people’s athletics.
