Charnwood AC are hosting a Coach Development Workshop on Conditioning and Physical Preparation for the Developing Athlete. This workshop will be led by certified strength and conditioning specialist Pete McKnight who will give helpful advice on how to carry out conditioning exercises whilst at track side or at home with limited or no equipment.

31.May.10 Young Fell runners selected for International Youth Challenge in Susa, Italy
After the trials in west Yorkshire on the 1st May Day Bank Holiday, the following athletes were selected for the England Team at the International Youth Challenge in Susa, Italy, taking place on Saturday 26th June 2010.

28.May.10 Herts Network host popular middle distance and endurance coach development evening
The Herts County Athletic Network held a middle distance and endurance coach development evening recently, aimed at both Track and Field, and Road Running Coaches wishing to extend their knowledge of different coaching techniques. It attracted 20 Coaches representing 11 local Clubs, and 16 athletes.

28.May.10 England team run well in high quality Swiss race
A team of 9 went out to Switzerland last week to represent England in the Bern 10 mile Road Race - a very high standard race that offers a great deal to English athletes, especially those who see themselves as primarily road runners. Team managers were Bud Baldaro and Kathryn Bailey.

27.May.10 Multi eventers run jump and throw success at Hexham
The first athletic meeting of the year brought a number of athletes from as far as Glasgow to Hexham, for the Combined Events Festival at the weekend. Youngsters from the age of 8 to 16 took part in the multi event competition at Wentworth.
