    Judging from the feedback from those in attendance at the Chelmsford's Local Coach Development Programme for aspiring coaches, the day was very productive with many a coach now considering fresh ideas to take back to their respective club’s coaching sessions.

    09.Dec.09 Coaches boosted by National Coaching Conferences

    Coaches from across England have been reaping the benefits of input from world class coaches at England Athletics National Coaching Conferences More than 400 coaches attended the three conferences in Sheffield, Lee Valley and Birmingham with the focus of ‘Physical Preparation’.

    It was with great sadness that England Athletics learned of the death of Andy Glover. Andy was a member of Croydon Harriers and made a huge contribution to the sport of athletics. He was an England Athletics London Region Councillor, served as President of Surrey County AA, was a coach, and was an international starter who also helped out at a huge number of matches of all levels. He was officials’ secretary for the Surrey Schools Athletics Association and the UK Women's League. Andy was also involved in training and mentoring many officials.

  • 08.Dec.09 Kent Endurance Development Day inspires Coaches and Athletes

    The second Kent Coach and Athlete Development Day attracted nearly 60 endurance athletes and coaches.  Following its success, further Kent Coach and Athlete Development Days are planned for February and March 2010.

    Sprint hurdles coaches and athletes came together from London Boroughs, Essex, Norfolk and even  Dorset to attend the first of four development days at Lee Valley.
