28.Feb.12 Parliament Hill, National Cross Country Championships 2012
The national cross country championships were in town over the weekend with the famous Parliament Hill course playing host to the event once more. It seemed fitting. in Olympic year, that Newham & Essex Beagles athlete Keith Gerrard (35:56) finished the day as National Champion. Gerrard finished a comfortable 11 seconds ahead of 2nd place to certify his position in history. John Beattie of Newham wasn't too far behind, finishing in 3rd to cap off an excellent day for the club who is based next to the Olympic park. -
27.Feb.12 Young Herne Hill Harriers strike again
Herne Hill Harriers' Saskia Millard capped off a very successful season with another superb run at the National Cross Country Championships at Parliament Hill on 25 February finishing 6th in the under-13 girls’ race. The young athlete followed up her fantastic bronze medal run at the South of England Champs last month with another gutsy effort to lead the team home to an excellent 5th team position, one of the best achieved in the history of the club. 24.Feb.12 Woodford Young Athletes at the Olympics
Ten of our young athletes will be appearing at the Olympics in August later this year as they have been selected as one of the 40 teams that will be undertaking kit-carrying duties for athletes competing in the Olympic Stadium. The team will be managed by two of our coaches and they received confirmation of their appointment last week after a lengthy selection process

21.Feb.12 AVIVA SPORTSHALL LONDON REGIONAL FINALS
On Saturday 11th February, we took a team of Under 13’s consisting of 12 boys and 12 girls to represent West London at the above event which was held at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. This was our first time attending this event and we only had approx. 6 weeks of training.
