England's 24 hour race athletes set the pace at the Commonwealth Ultra and Mountain Running championships, held this weekend in North Wales. There were team Golds in the 24 Hour races, Mountain races, and women' Trail team with Silver for the men's. Individual Golds were earned in the mountain running, plus Gold and Bronze in the 24 hour race.

England doubled their gold medal tally on the third and final day of athletics to top the athletics medal table at the Isle of Man 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games, with the total medal count at 19, including 12 gold, five silver and two bronze medals.

An inspirational performance from Zak Seddon to win an exciting 2000m steeplechase kick-started a gold rush which saw England pick up seven medals, including five golds, on the second day of athletics action at the Commonwealth Youth Games in the Isle of Man.

Sophie Papps added Commonwealth Youth gold to her European Youth Olympic Festival crown with a dominant display to win the 100m at the Commonwealth Youth Games in the Isle of Man today (Friday 9th September).
