21.Mar.11 Act quickly! Time to book for Marathon Conference
All the subsidised places for the England Athletics Marathon Coaching Conference are now sold out. However there are still some full price places available for the event to take place at the University of Warwick on 2-3 April which features speakers including Steve Jones, Lindsay Dunn, George Gandy, Bud Baldaro, Dave Moorcroft, Bill Adcocks, Tracey Morris, Dr Barry Fudge, Prof Ron Maughan, Martin Rush, David Sunderland and Brian Scobie.

The first coach education workshop organised by the Essex McCain Athletics Network has whetted appetites for future events as coaches learned the importance of developing mental toughness in athletes to help them make the most of their talents.

Eleven coaches from across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Middlesex attended a Biomechanics session where chartered Physiotherapist Rosalind Shuttleworth delivered a dynamic mixture of theoretical information and practical exercises.

17.Mar.11 Big Network Day big success for coaches and athletes
32 coaches and athletes attended the first of the South Surrey Athletics Network's coach and athlete development days, called the ‘Big Network Day’. The day consisted of sprints workshops, a motivational talk from an Olympic medallist, plus a chance to question a current GB athlete.
