15.Feb.11 James Walsh crowned Midland XC Champion for 5th time

Leeds City AC’s James Walsh moved clear of two international endurance runners including an Olympic silver medallist in the record books by accomplishing his fifth Midland Cross Country title in seven years in very familiar territory round Newbold Comyn at Leamington Spa.
07.Feb.11 South Staffs launch new network website

In order to raise awareness of the work of the South Staffordshire McCain Athletics Network, and to provide a communication tool for Network members and other interested parties, a website has been established.
06.Feb.11 South Staffs Network have laid a strong foundation

Within the South Staffordshire McCain Athletics Network (SSAN), a collaborative approach is in place with coaches visiting neighbouring clubs, sharing experience and good practice. The network has firmly established itself and gained a good working relationship with all clubs and external partners.
02.Feb.11 Hereford and Worcester network engages athletes and officials

The Hereford and Worcester McCain Athletics Network Sportshall league has been very well supported with encouraging performances. The event also saw both athletes who have recently moved out the Sportshall age groups, and parents coming to assist with officiating.
