On a recent visit to East Cheshire Harriers it was clear that they were thriving in disability athletics. Recent member, Darren Stafford, has been competing in the F42, leg amputee class, across the country in the Shot and Discus.

13.Jul.12 Surrey searches for new Paralympic stars
Rain certainly didn’t stop play down at Charterhouse Club in Godalming for this years’ Playground to Podium county athlete assessment day. Children with varying disabilities were invited from schools all over Surrey.

12.Jul.12 The pride of Durham's Playground to Podium
Reece Palmer, Durham Playground to Podium athlete, was the pride of the P2P athletes at the DSE Nationwide Junior Athletics Championships after competing in the 100m, 200m and 4 x 100m relay and claiming two medals.

In the last few months, six Playground to Podium (P2P) days have taken place in the North. With over 330 young disabled children taking part so far it’s a great start to the programme.
