National sports equality organisation StreetGames are inviting athletics clubs to be part of a nationwide scheme alongside other sports clubs to provide a Street Games festival for young people in their community - and in turn create an opportunity for clubs to reach out to potential new teenage participants.

England Athletics are looking for clubs and Networks to become delivery partners for the athletics Gold Challenge (part of the London 2012 Legacy). You would gain the opportunity to run Track and Field Team Challenge events for groups of new participants, primarily workplace teams.

The London and Eastern Region endurance coach development programme continued with a well received event at Barnet Copthall. The theme was ‘Transition from Winter to Summer’ and the day reflected the diversity of the endurance coaches on the area and local mentoring programmes.

As part of their 25th Anniversary celebrations, Kingston AC & Polytechnic Harriers, part of the SW London McCain Athletics Network, are holding a weekend which includes an Open Throws Meeting (including events for disabled athletes) plus a number of coaching workshops.

Tuesday 1st February 2011 saw a strong England team travel to Vienna, Austria for the ‘Linz meeting’ where they linked up with other athletes who have also been competing this week in Bratislava and Vienna.
