The East Midlands have selected their team for the fourth annual UK School Games, which will take place in Wales from the 3rd to 6th September. Athletics is one of ten sports which will allow youngsters from across the UK to test themselves against teenagers in their own sport whilst also giving them an opportunity to meet and form friendships with their contemporaries from other sporting disciplines.

England won the Falkirk Cup on their event debut at Grangemouth Stadium last night, halting Scotland’s run of victories in the event and taking the trophy south of the border for the first time.

25.Aug.09 Quadkids comes to Neighbourhood Games
Quadkids came to the Tower Hamlets Neighbourhood Games last week. The Games, organised by Tower Hamlets Schools Sport Partnership, saw the culmination of a summer initiative that saw mini-clubs being set up in primary schools and a variety of sports being coached by Sports Leaders from the partnership.

England Athletics are pleased to announce the team that will take on Scotland, Ethiopia, Ireland and a Bank of Scotland Development Team in the Falkirk Cup. This international event will take place at Grangemouth Stadium, Falkirk on Wednesday 26th August from 5.45pm.

Consecutive victories in the middle two fixtures at Rugby and Bath after finishing last in their first match at Coventry laid the foundation for Bristol and West AC to win their first Midland League Division One title since the club’s name was rebranded six years ago.
