22.Jun.11 LCDP participants in the South reflect

The Local Coach Development Programme (LCDP) aims to raise standards in coaching and therefore improve the performance of our athletes. As the summer season races towards us, coaches have been reflecting on how they have benefitted from being part of the LCDP.
15.Jun.11 Preventing, treating and recovering from injuries

Coaches from the Essex McCain Athletics Network were full of praise for the first coach education workshop organised in conjunction with the network’s external partners SEEVIC College, as Rebecca Cruickshank gave an entertaining and informative session on preventing, treating and recovering from sports injuries.
11.Jun.11 Video analysis session extends coaches' knowledge

18 coaches recently attended a video analysis session that took place in Bury St Edmunds. The session was organised by the Suffolk Essex Athletics Network and was also attended by coaches on the Local and National Coach Development Programmes in Cambridgeshire and Essex.

A few places are still available on a free coach education workshop "Preventing, treating and recovering from sports injuries" being held in Basildon on Friday 10th June.
