30.Mar.12 187 promising sports stars share £40,000 in bursaries

187 promising sports performers from Derbyshire have shared more than £40,000 after each being awarded a bursary from Podium – a scheme to help local athletes in their bid to reach the top.

The DSE Midland Disability Athletics Championships will take place on Wednesday 25th April 2012 at the Saffron Lane Athletics Stadium in Leicester. The championships are open to athletes of all abilities and impairment groups.

Promoted by the Leicestershire Disability Athletics Group, a free workshop and training day is taking place on 11th March in Leicester. Coaches, teachers and athletes interested in athletics are welcome.
