The healthy mind in a healthy body philosophy dates back as far as the ancient Chinese and Greek civilisations. However, it is only in recent years that the discipline, now known as sport psychology, has become recognised and acknowledged as a major component in the science of athletic performance. This session will provide an insight into sports psychology and the effect it may have on an athlete’s performance.
Promoted by the Leicestershire Disability Athletics Group, a free workshop and training day is taking place on 11th March in Leicester. Coaches, teachers and athletes interested in athletics are welcome.
