    09.Aug.11 Updated: England Athletics Coaching Conference - Midlands and South West - details

    Speakers' details added: England Athletics is once again holding three major coaching conferences which cover the whole country - one in each of the north, midlands and south. This year the focus of each is slightly different and is based on input from coaches in each area into what content they would like to see.

  • 08.Aug.11 Northwood Academy of Hurdles winter session dates

    Now in its 18th year, the Northwood Academy of Hurdles caters for sprints and long hurdlers in the U15-U20 age groups, offering hands-on coach development.  Dates for the 2011/2012 winter season have now been released.

    Athletics benefits from the tremendous efforts and expertise of a dedicated team of volunteers. And we at England Athletics want to ensure that we, and the sport as a whole gives them the recognition they deserve! So whether it is your coach, your club, an official or another volunteer make sure that you nominate them for one of our awards!

  • 25.Jul.11 Chesterfield gets cash for coaching

    Chesterfield & District Athletics Club has made a successful bid for £1,000.00 from the Cash4Clubs scheme, which will enable the club to pay for four volunteers to attend Coaching Assistant courses, and three more volunteers to attend Coach courses.

  • 05.Jul.11 Youth programming pushing forward in Northants

    Northamptonshire are pushing forward with plans to roll out Athletics 365 this Autumn.  There have also been successes with young athletes from the U11 to U20 age groups, and coach development sessions to support them.

    As the main club sessions for Wreake Runners are already at bursting point the decision was taken to set up and run an entirely separate “Athletics Academy” which used the Athletics 365 programme as its core.
