July 13th saw 48 talented young disabled athletes take part in the Oxfordshire County Athlete Assessment Day (CAAD) held at Oxford University’s Iffley Road Sports Complex.

World junior champion Jodie Williams (Herts Phoenix AC) took gold in the final of the womens 100m in 11.18 seconds, while setting another national junior record and championship record. Williams' concentration at the start was superb despite a faulty start which saw them all return to the blocks for a second time.

Wednesday July 20th saw the third of this year’s Cambridgeshire Open Development Meetings at St.Ives. This year has seen a number of entries from disabled athletes with numbers now reaching 7.

22.Jul.11 CE Electric UK grant helps Network deliver schools tasters
Following successful application for funding provided by CE Electric UK and England Athletics; Northumberland McCain Athletics Network (NAN) were able to arrange and has now successfully delivered one hour taster sessions to eight local schools.
