In a follow up to the very successful regional endurance event held in late November, last week over 25 coaches and athletes from the County Durham Athletics Network were treated to a session around physical preparation and conditioning related to endurance athletes by Julie Twaddle.

Cheshire McCain Athletics Network are running three coach and athlete development events in the North West. Sessions will cover off-road, endurance, discus, hammer, sprints, long jump, pole vault, pilates, conditioning, nutrition and biomechanics.

The figures are in and the total number of runners to have claimed their runbritain handicap score stands at 9256 and climbing quickly. In order to celebrate the success of the scheme runbritain will reward their 10,000th claimant with an Adidas miCoach pacer worth £120!

07.Mar.11 Big event coming up for road running clubs and coaches
An event on coaching road running is being planned for early April. As well as some great marathon coaches the event will also see distane running stars from past years gathering to give insight into how they and their club produced a series of athletes who performed at the very highest level.
