Hertfordshire County McCain Athletics Network held successful Coaches' and Athletes' Development Squad workshops recently at Lee Valley Athletics Centre. The Herts Network chairman Malcolm Wallace welcomed 66 coaches and helpers and over 90 athletes before they attended up to 3 workshops.

The England Athletics SW Region Inter Counties Road Running Championships were held last weekend. On a tough course there was a clean sweep for Devon, on home territory, winning both the men's and ladies' team events.

Shropshire Athletics Coaches recently attended a Strength & Conditioning workshop for Coaches working with young athletes held at Ladygrove Primary School in Telford. Ruddy Farquharson, Strength & Conditioning Coach for the English Institute of Sport, delivered the workshop.

Nottinghamshire Athletics Network and Derbyshire Athletics Networks joined forces last weekend to launch the first of ten Coach Development Sessions. Some of the best coaches in the country have been recruited to support the coaches at the 12 Network clubs and help them develop their skills.
