Ilkley Harriers one of the clubs in Bradford Network have set up a scheme to give all their junior volunteers the opportunity to gain a qualification that would not only be useful on a CV but also provide the general leadership skills for everyday life.

Over the last few years several of Ilkley Harriers' older juniors have helped out at the athletics sessions each week. At the end of 2010 the club decided to give all these junior volunteers the opportunity to gain a 'real' qualification that would not only be useful on a CV but also provide leadership skills for everyday life.

Three young volunteers from Surrey Heath have taken their experiences of volunteering in Sport to organise and run their own fundraising event for comic relief, and plan on helping organise the Surrey Youth Games, Playground to Podium and Race For Life.
