The Athletics Track in Southampton has been reopened following a £200,000 refurbishment programme by Southampton City Council. Marking the occasion was a fun sports day for Cantell School, a race to cut the ribbon by local athletes and development personnel and a race between two mascots.

The South West's Local Coach Development Programme is now up and running. A number of workshops spread thoughout the Avon and Somerset areas mean that coaches and other interested parties can now attend evening workshops and learn from top coaches Tim Snowdon, Ken Holmes and Chris Millard.
