06.Jun.11 Olympic Champions and World Record Holders Attend Opening of New Indoor Facility at Perivale Park Track
Husband and wife throwers, Yuri Sedykh and Natalya Lisovskaya, world record holders in the men’s Hammer and women’s Shot respectively and both former Olympic Champions, attended the opening of the new indoor training facility at the Perivale Track in West London. The pair were invited to attend the opening by the track manager, Jamie Bath, who is also Head Coach of the West London Hammer School, based there, and a mentee on the NCDP for the Hammer.

02.Jun.11 Running leadership training for deaf or hearing impaired leaders
England Athletics has trained up almost 3000 running group leaders who are now working to deliver running groups to a huge variety of people across the country. As part of our efforts to make leading and participating in athletics accessible to all we are currently looking to find people who would like to be involved in a Leadership in Running Fitness training course with specific provision made for people who are deaf or hearing impaired and would like to lead a running group.

After the successful launch of the England Athletics Senior Championships in Gateshead in 2010 we are excited to bring the event south to Bedford International Stadium. This year the England Athletics Senior Championships will incorporate an Avivia Parallel Success event providing new competition opportunities for disabled athletes.
