National sports equality organisation StreetGames are inviting athletics clubs to be part of a nationwide scheme alongside other sports clubs to provide a Street Games festival for young people in their community - and in turn create an opportunity for clubs to reach out to potential new teenage participants.

Leeds City AC’s James Walsh moved clear of two international endurance runners including an Olympic silver medallist in the record books by accomplishing his fifth Midland Cross Country title in seven years in very familiar territory round Newbold Comyn at Leamington Spa.

Following the successes of last year, the Avon Sportshall teams made a clean sweep of the SWest Regional finals last weekend at Torbay, winning all four team events to represent the South West at the Aviva National Finals in Birmingham on 3rd April 2011.

15.Feb.11 GB v France to be included at England Combined Events
England Athletics are pleased to confirm the inclusion of the GB v France U20 and U23 International, into the Under 17 and Under 15 Age Group Combined Events weekend in Sheffield on 5th-6th March. Selected athletes will also be taking part in the event as England athletes.

East Cornwall Harriers are forging ahead with their links to the primary schools in the local area. They have organised a massive series of cross country events on a monthly basis in which 27 primary schools take part.
