  • 29.Nov.11 Young runner wins at Surrey Sports Awards 2011

    On Friday 25 November, G Live in Guildford opened its doors to the Surrey sporting community. The Surrey Sports Awards, organised by Active Surrey, gives recognition to outstanding athletes, inspirational volunteers, great coaches and quality clubs.

    England Athletics and UKA are both to move offices to new premises at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham, from 25-28 November. Email and telephone communication will be affected during the move. We apologise for any disruption this causes.

    24.Nov.11 SYAN Coaches support action for blind people event

    15 Actionnaires clubs from the North of England attended an action packed day of athletics at the EIS, Sheffield. This event was open to visually impaired children between the ages 4-16 registered within the 15 clubs.

    London Youth Games Cross CountryThere were some exciting finishes and high quality races at the London Youth Games cross country championships held on a mild morning at Parliament Hill. Over 500 youngsters represented their London boroughs in a successful renewal of these races which were re-introduced into London Youth Games in 2010.

    22.Nov.11 Successful first north Sportshall athletics trials

    North Yorkshire Athletics network held their first Sportshall athletics trials of the year. The morning saw 26 under 11s come and try a variety of Sportshall athletics events, all full of enjoyment and motivation to be part of the 2012 under 11 North Yorkshire Sportshall athletics team.

    Promoted by the Avon Athletics Network, a workshop entitled "Sprints Coaching for Athletes with Cerebral Palsy" is open to all coaches and teachers interested in sprints training and racing.  It is also open to athletes aged 11+ years and classifications T35-T38 with their coach.
