18.Aug.11 Good News, parkrun is coming to Westminster!

England Athletics Activator Ellie Hutchinson is excited to be working in partnership with parkrun and Paddington Recreational Ground where a new parkrun event will be starting at the end of September.
parkrun is a free, fun, inclusive to all, 5k community running event. Runners sign up on the website once in their life, then just turn up and run at their chosen park on a Saturday morning from 9am.

Brent Sports Service on the Brent teams performance in this year’s London Youth Games: "We took a slightly smaller but more competitive team than last year, with the girls much stronger this time around. Unfortunately for us we were up against an extremely high standard of competition so our improved number of top 10 finishes in the girls-an impressive four from a team of five girls- only reflects an improvement of four placings in the overall standings.
03.Aug.11 Run! team up with local Athletics Club for People’s Day event

9th April 2011, saw England Athletics; Run! team up with local Athletics Club; S Factor to organise and deliver an access event at one of Lewisham’s biggest annual festival, People’s Day. The stall had activities such as speed bounce, standing long jump and target throw- being the most popular of all the events.
