30.Oct.09 Birchfield Harriers Named UK’s Most Successful Athletics Club
Birchfield Harriers have been named as the most successful club in the forty year history of the British Athletics League. The club were crowned the first ever national Men’s League champions in 1969 and have been in the top flight division for a total of 35 years.

Hertfordshire County McCain Athletics Network held successful Coaches' and Athletes' Development Squad workshops recently at Lee Valley Athletics Centre. The Herts Network chairman Malcolm Wallace welcomed 66 coaches and helpers and over 90 athletes before they attended up to 3 workshops.

Midland Counties AA have announced their indoor season events for 2010. The MCAA Indoor Champs and Birmingham Games will be held at the NIA, and three Open events are also announced.

28.Oct.09 Commonwealth Games 2010 Baton Relay visits London
The Commonwealth Games baton symbolises the unity and shared ideals of the Commonwealth of Nations. The Queen’s Baton Relay 2010 Delhi will commence from Buckingham Palace, on the 29th October 2009, and pass through Newham. The baton will then travel through all other 70 Commonwealth nations – a historic journey that will cover more than 170,000 km in 240 days.
