  • 26.Nov.09 Herts County Network to hold TJ and LJ training and development day

    Herts County Athletics Network arevto hold a TJ and LJ training and development day at Lee Valley Athletics Centre for all existing and aspiring long and triple jumpers (male and female).

  • 25.Nov.09 Lincolnshire Throws Academy a real success!

    The Lincolnshire throws academy is an opportunity to get club coaches to work and observe the specialist coaches - who include Geoff Capes, Jim Edwards and Mike Allen - giving them the knowledge and confidence to deliver coaching at their own clubs.  38 athletes and 20 coaches attend the monthly sessions organised by the Lincolnshire Athletics Network who have teamed up with the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership.

  • Hampshire IOW Network launch

    24.Nov.09 Hampshire and Isle of Wight McCain Athletics Network launch

    Over 80 local athletes battled wind and rain to train at the launch of  the new Hampshire & Isle of Wight McCain Athletics Network.  Coaches and top performing U15 and U17 track and field  athletes from Hampshire and the Isle of Wight came together to take part in a County Coaching Day.

    England Athletics are delighted to announce the National round of SportsAid funding.  The deadline for applications is 2pm on November 25th by email.

    Last year, one of the most talented young sprinters the sport has ever seen - Jodie Williams - was nominated by SportsAid as the athlete to watch.  England Athletics were able to catch up with her recently and hear her thoughts on the season just gone, and how she sees her future.

  • 04.Nov.09 SW Runners Win Birmingham Cross Country Challenge

    Stroud and District’s Tom Curr who won national titles at both 1500 and 3000 metres on the track this summer as well as winning the Schools International Cross Country at Bangor in March convincingly won the Men’s Under 17 race Birmingham Cross Country Challenge by almost half a minute.
