In conjunction with Carlisle County Council, England Athletics DASO, Shelley Holroyd, organised a ‘come and try’ wheelchair workshop for local athletes to engage them from other sports and encourage them to take part in wheelchair racing.

Blaydon Harriers & AC held their first inter-club Quadkids competition recently as an end of season finale for the Under 11’s group. A group of 15 young athletes turned out to take part in the four events of 75m, 600m, howler throw and long jump.

0th September saw the first LCDP winter workshop take place in Gateshead. The 3 hour event mixed theory and practical to give the 15 coaches in attendance a platform to plan and integrate physical preparation into their club training sessions.

Credit Suisse has partnered with the East End Road Runners to improve access to sporting activities in East London. The inaugural Credit Suisse Beckton Park Challenge has been created to raise awareness of, and improve access to, sporting activities in East London - therefore creating a legacy to the London 2012 Games.
