    28.Feb.11 The next generation, coming to the fore

    One of the season’s most important events for England’s up and coming young athletes took place this weekend in Birmingham’s National Indoor Arena, with plenty of young rising stars keen to state their ambitions for the outdoor season ahead.

    28.Feb.11 St Mary's Endurance Performance and Coaching Centre (EPACC) Coaches Workshops & Open day

    St Mary's Endurance Performance and Coaching Centre (EPACC) - An England Athletics Coach Development Centre for Endurance - in partnership with the Virgin London Marathon (VLM) is holding Coaches Workshops on Sunday 13th March 2011. There is also an Open Day on 12th March.

  • 28.Feb.11 3 top GB athletes show support for Cheshire and Merseyside Networks

    30 coaches from across Cheshire and Merseyside had the chance to ask three of Great Britain’s top athletes about their own athletics upbringing and their experiences of coaching throughout their own career.  Christian Malcolm, Katarina Thompson and Lisa Daley showed their support of the event.

    The members of the South West Team for the London Mini Marathon have now been selected and are published here. 

  • 28.Feb.11 Calderdale network to host event development days

    Calderdale Athletics Network are hosting a number of event development days in March. This includes a Planning for Juniors workshop and an Endurance festival weekend with are free places available for interested coaches to observe and participate in England 14 -16 Fell & Mountain development squad and West Yorkshire Endurance squad training.  

  • 28.Feb.11 Great victory for London north lions

    London North Lions continued as they started winning the final round of the McCain city challenge in Cardiff on Saturday (26th February).  Last years champions the Sheffield Flames were swept aside as the North London Lions showed the capitals depth after fielding nearly a completely different team to the one that competed in the first round.
