03.Nov.09 England Athletics announces Team Leader for Delhi 2010
England Athletics has announced the appointment of John Brierley as the Team Leader for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Brierley was the successful Team Leader for the England athletics team at the 2002 Games in Manchester where they finished top of the athletics medal table, beating Australia with twelve gold, six silver and eleven bronze medals.

03.Nov.09 A feast of Cross Country relay running
The popularity of the Saucony English Cross Country Relays goes from strength to strength and the 20th Anniversary of the event held at Berry Hill Park Mansfield saw record numbers taking part with 737 complete and 179 incomplete Teams competing. The competition was fierce throughout the day and the large number of supporters created a great atmosphere.

Midland Counties AA have announced their indoor season events for 2010. The MCAA Indoor Champs and Birmingham Games will be held at the NIA, and three Open events are also announced.

The official date of Halloween 2009 additionally marks a special occasion for the glorious Berry Hill Park in Mansfield as this year, the Nottinghamshire venue will be celebrating not so much ‘trick’ but more ‘treat’, as they reach their 20-year milestone of hosting the annual Saucony English Cross-Country Relays.

Organisers of the 2010 Bath Half Marathon have launched a special training course, in association with the England Athletics ‘Run in England’ scheme, so that athletes can learn the best ways to pass on their knowledge and tips to many others who are perhaps a little apprehensive about how to prepare for their first ever event.

It is the policy of the English Cross Country Association, backed by England Athletics, to send teams to International Cross Country events to help athletes to develop and gain experience of travelling and competing against good quality athletes from other Countries. The ECCA and England Athletics are pleased to announce this winter's fixtures.
