  • 03.Jul.09 Tom Pink Relays bridge gap with Sportshall and T&F

    For the past two years, successful Tom Pink winter indoor programmes for children have been held.  These events proved very popular with both the participants and spectators.  Following discussions with England Athletics, an outdoor version of the programme has been designed and thoroughly tested, with the object of creating a bridge between the successful Sportshall Programmes and traditional Track and Field.

    In an effort to defend both men’s and women’s team titles England have selected strong teams for the coming Snowdon International Mountain race on the 18th July 2009.

    02.Jul.09 12 CBPs at Bedford U23/U20 Championships

    Warm and sultry weather at the Bedford International Stadium did nothing to deter our U23 and U20 athletes vying for European selection.  In total, 12 Championship Best Performances were recorded, a clutch of Personal Bests, and 88 athletes have been selected by UKA to compete at the to the European Junior and U23 Athletics Championships.

  • Hampshire IOW Network

    01.Jul.09 Hampshire and Isle of Wight Athletics Clubs Network announced

    The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Clubs Network made a successful bid to England Athletics and will receive £45,000 for the first year’s activities.  The contribution will enable the Network members to build on the success to date and will particularly help to increase participation rates in the sport and to sustain levels of performance.
