The 2011 Virgin London Marathon doubled as the England individual and team Marathon championships. Results are announced. (updated 22nd April but still to be verified with vest check once that footage is released)

14.Apr.11 Run England project launched to bring people into the sport
England Athletics has launched its new ‘Run England’ recreational running programme as part of its work to grow the number of people taking part in running and athletics. The Run England project replaces the Run in England programme, previously delivered on behalf of England Athletics by the Women’s Running Network.

13.Apr.11 English Cross Country Association AGM
The 4th Open Meeting of the ECCA will be held at the European Inn, Midland Rd, Derby on Saturday 7th May starting at 12 noon. The Conference Room is on the second floor of the Hotel, tea and coffee will be available from 11:30.

Having recently passed the 10,000th claimant for the runbritain handicap scoring scheme that was launched last September, and with almost a million road racing results from UKA licensed events so far in 2010 and 2011, the latest addition to the free downloadable runner’s biog page is Reward Running 2011.

The English Road Running Association NIKE Senior Men's 12 Stage and Senior Women’s 6 Stage Road Relay Championships take place tomorrow - Saturday 9 April 2011. We'll be commentating live from the event at our Live From the Champs webpage.

08.Apr.11 Cheshire Network's 1st Off-Road Development Day goes down a treat!
As well as the track and field development day on the 2nd April, over 30 runners attended and took part in both practical and theory sessions at a day of fell running development organised by Phil Barnes and supported by the Cheshire McCain Athletics Network.
