St Mary's Endurance Performance and Coaching Centre (EPACC) - An England Athletics Coach Development Centre for Endurance - in partnership with the Virgin London Marathon (VLM) is holding Coaches Workshops on Sunday 13th March 2011. There is also an Open Day on 12th March.

Calderdale Athletics Network are hosting a number of event development days in March. This includes a Planning for Juniors workshop and an Endurance festival weekend with are free places available for interested coaches to observe and participate in England 14 -16 Fell & Mountain development squad and West Yorkshire Endurance squad training.

2011 sees the launch of new opportunities for endurance officials, including an Endurance Officials' Pathway including levels as for track and field - thus ensuring appropriate training and experience, and the delivery of the new Level 2 Endurance Course and Risk Assessment Courses across England shortly.

Commonwealth 20km Walk Champion Johanna Jackson is heading down under to Australia to train at the Australian Institute of Sports for six weeks as she looks to build on her success in Barcelona and Delhi in 2011.

Leeds City AC’s James Walsh moved clear of two international endurance runners including an Olympic silver medallist in the record books by accomplishing his fifth Midland Cross Country title in seven years in very familiar territory round Newbold Comyn at Leamington Spa.
