A workshop "coaching the female endurance athlete" will take place on Saturday 21st January in Hatfield, Herts. The workshop will host a number of expert speakers including Dr. Cath Spencer-Smith, Carolyn Plateau and Jeremy Freeman.

19.Dec.11 Weekend of LCDP workshops develop local coaches
Three Local Coach Development Programme workshops ran the weekend of the 10th December. The three sessions held over two days attracted twenty coaches from across the East Region and London.

14.Dec.11 Sportshall virtual competition opportunity
Clubs from across the Region have been taking part in Virtual Competition using the Sportshall Award Scheme as a training night activity to prepare for County Leagues and also for the opportunity to be crowned East Regional Virtual Champions.

10.Dec.11 Celebrating the work of volunteers in the East
Volunteers and guests gathered at Histon, Cambridgeshire on the 7th December to spend an evening celebrating the achievements of officials, coaches, clubs and other volunteers in the East Region.

09.Dec.11 Long Term Athlete Development session a hit
Nineteen coaches from Essex Athletics Network clubs were at the third network coach education workshop held in conjunction with the network’s partner SEEVIC College as the College’s Sam Coombes, himself an active middle-distance athlete, spoke about long term athlete development and motor development.

34 coaches have benefitted from attendance at two endurance workshops led by National Coach Mentors Bud Baldaro and Jenny Harris.
