27.Apr.11 Cornwall AC Ladies claim marathon top spot
After a nail biting couple of days, Cornwall Athletic Club’s Ladies team have been confirmed as the National Marathon Champions in the Virgin London Marathon. Naomi Tier, Emma Stallard and Suzy Bosustow all ran superbly in the recent London race, recording personal best times on a very warm day in the capital, claiming top spot on the podium.

07.Apr.11 Plymouth to get new 10k event this Autumn
A new 10km road race in Plymouth is expected to attract thousands of runners and top European athletes to the city. The Plymouth 10k on Sunday, October 2 is being launched as a stepping stone for people taking part in next year's Plymouth Half Marathon.

06.Apr.11 What a day for Avon's young athletes
Avon's Under 13 Sporthall teams recorded their best ever performances at the UK Final at the NEC on Sunday. The U13 Girls excelled with a magnificent 3rd place (their best ever) and the U13 Boys emulated last year's team winning the UK title for a second successive time with a record points haul.

04.Apr.11 Avon Network coaches get back to basics
27 Coaches and 6 athletes took part in the sixth Coach CPD event hosted by the Avon McCain Athletics Network, at the University of Bath on Saturday 2nd April. Whilst the S&C session was a continuation of two previous workshops, the other three sessions were looking at the Basics of Athletics, and aimed very much at the Beginner coach.
