19.Dec.09 Endurance Regional Training Day at E14
An Endurance Regional Training Day for Coaches and Athletes (U20, U23 and Seniors) will be held on 24th January 2010, 10am - 4pm at Mile End stadium, London E14 7TW. Endurance Coaches at Level 2 working towards Level 3; Level 3 and Level 4 are invited, as are athletes meeting a minimum standard.

18.Dec.09 Local Coach Development Programme – Cambridge event weather warning
A Local Coach Development Programme event for Hammer is planned for Wilberforce Road, Cambridge, for Sunday 20 December. In light of current weather conditions and forecasts a decision will be taken on Saturday as to whether this event can proceed.

17.Dec.09 Herts Coaching DVDs now available
As part of the coach and athlete development programme being run by the McCain Hertfordshire County Athletics Network at Lee Valley Athletic Centre, generic sessions for U13/15 and U17/20 athletes and all Hertfordshire club coaches were filmed. DVDs are now available.

10.Dec.09 Essex Coaches share their ideas
Judging from the feedback from those in attendance at the Chelmsford's Local Coach Development Programme for aspiring coaches, the day was very productive with many a coach now considering fresh ideas to take back to their respective club’s coaching sessions.

09.Dec.09 Andy Glover
It was with great sadness that England Athletics learned of the death of Andy Glover. Andy was a member of Croydon Harriers and made a huge contribution to the sport of athletics. He was an England Athletics London Region Councillor, served as President of Surrey County AA, was a coach, and was an international starter who also helped out at a huge number of matches of all levels. He was officials’ secretary for the Surrey Schools Athletics Association and the UK Women's League. Andy was also involved in training and mentoring many officials.

07.Dec.09 Sprint Hurdles Development day well attended
Sprint hurdles coaches and athletes came together from London Boroughs, Essex, Norfolk and even Dorset to attend the first of four development days at Lee Valley.
