21.Dec.12 Introduction to seated and ambulant throws workshop
This introductory workshop will give coaches an understanding of the classifications relevant to ambulant and seated throws and the relevant basic technical model for each. It will also outline the sport specific rules and give coaches an understanding of the basic design features of throwing frames.

20.Nov.12 The most successful coach development event ever in East Midlands
The East Midlands saw 52 coaches attending a coach development event last weekend - more than ever before. It is a fantastic achievement for the Local Coach Development Programme and testament that England Athletics is now catering for local coach development needs and wants.

After the success of the October session the second East Midland Coach Development Day will be on 18th November. The sessions are tailored specifically with coaches' development in mind and they are a brilliant opportunity to improve coaching skills, knowledge and meet other like-minded coaches.

38 coaches attended a hugely successful LCDP coach development day starting with a ‘hot topic’ workshop on Physical Preparation delivered by EA National Coach Mentor, Rob Thickpenny.
