As part of the series of 600 Community Athletics Days organised by clubs across England Amber Valley & Erewash AC held a series of Try Athletics events on Wednesday evenings which gave opportunities for those aged eight to 15 to come along and give athletics a go.

Joanne Elphinston has been Head of Performance Movement for the British Olympic Association, and an advisor to many organisations. She has worked with professional footballers, top golfers, and elite athletes from sports including cycling, rowing, rugby and athletics.
