Nottinghamshire County Council held a glittering ceremony at Becket School in West Bridgford to celebrate its 20th Nottinghamshire Sports Awards on 16 February. It was a good year for athletics - scooping 3 of the awards.

Lincolnshire Athletics Network are currently working on a number of exciting projects, including an exciting new county-wide project which aims to encourage people to be more active by jogging on a regular basis, and helping clubs to support a number of village festivals.
08.Feb.12 Juliet Doyle regains her Midland XC title at Nottingham

Charnwood AC’s Juliet Doyle improved from the silver medal position a year ago at Leamington Spa to regain the Senior Women’s title in picturesque Wollaton Park at Nottingham.

England Athletics was greatly saddened to hear of the death of Paul Blissett. Paul was a coach with Leicester Coritanian and worked for England Athletics as an Area Coach Mentor for Endurance.
01.Feb.12 East Midlands Virgin London mini marathon trials

Trials for East Midlands Virgin Mini London Marathon Team will be held on Sunday 4 March 2012 at the National Water Sports Centre, Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham.
